1. Remove the transmission (for vehicles with manual transmission see chapter Manual gearbox (RKPP); for vehicles with automatic transmission, see chapter automatic transmission (AT)).
2. On manual transmission vehicles, remove the clutch (see chapter Clutch).
3. Where necessary, mark the position of the flywheel/drive plate in relation to the crankshaft so that it can be reinstalled in the same position later.
4. The flywheel/drive plate is attached to the rear of the crankshaft with eight bolts.
5. Using a change head and ratchet, loosen the eight bolts holding the flywheel/drive plate to the crankshaft flange - keep the flywheel/drive plate from turning by blocking the ring gear with a lever
6. Be careful - the flywheel is quite heavy.
7. To install the flywheel/drive plate on the crankshaft, apply special thread sealant to the bolts and tighten them gradually, moving diagonally, to the required torque.
8. Follow the rest of the installation procedure in the reverse order of removal.
