This system improves vehicle stability when driving, especially when accelerating and cornering. The use of the AES system together with ABS can significantly improve the dynamic characteristics of the car.
The efficiency of the system depends on the quality of tire adhesion to the road surface, on the condition of the road surface, as well as on the driving style (choosing the right gear and managing engine power). For your safety, choose the driving mode that suits the traffic situation. The system reacts sensitively to the installation of dissimilar tires. Therefore, the tires must be the same on all wheels.
Highly sensitive sensors monitor the angular speeds of the wheels. If there is a difference between them, the system recognizes the danger of slipping and reduces traction, while ensuring the maximum coefficient of adhesion of the tires to the road surface,
The operation of the system can be perceived when the vehicle is moving as a limitation of engine power.
However, it should be understood that under specific driving conditions (determined by the condition of the coating and its quality) the system ensures optimum traction and acceleration while maintaining vehicle stability.
ASC and ABS systems do not change the laws of physics. If the speed limit is exceeded, the consequences associated with a lack of traction and side slip force remain on the driver's conscience. Therefore, the additional safety potential should not provoke you to unnecessarily risky driving.
Turning off the ASC system allows you to continue driving in normal mode. In order to increase traction on the drive wheels, it is advisable to turn off the system when leaving "swinging" and starting off in deep snow or soft ground (see section "Vehicle operation in winter"), as well as when driving with snow chains on the wheels.
