This system increases the vehicle's stability when driving, especially when accelerating and turning. Using the AES system together with ABS allows for a significant improvement in the vehicle's dynamic characteristics.
The efficiency of the system depends on the quality of the tires' grip on the road surface, the condition of the road surface, and the driving style(choosing the right gear and managing engine power). For your safety, select the driving mode that matches the road conditions. The system is sensitive to the installation of different tires. Therefore, the tires must be the same on all wheels.
Highly sensitive sensors monitor the angular speeds of the wheels. If there is a difference between them, the system recognizes the risk of slippage and reduces traction, while ensuring maximum tire adhesion to the road surface,
The operation of the system can be perceived as a limitation of engine power when the vehicle is moving.
It should be understood, however, that in specific driving conditions (determined by the condition of the coating and its quality) the system provides optimal traction and acceleration while maintaining vehicle stability.
ASC and ABS systems do not cancel the laws of physics. In case of exceeding the maximum permissible speed, the consequences associated with the lack of traction and the force of lateral slip remain on the conscience of the driver. Therefore, the additional safety potential should not provoke you to excessively risky driving.
Switching off the ASC system allows you to continue driving in normal mode. In order to increase traction on the drive wheels, it is advisable to switch off the system when driving off "rocking" and starting off on deep snow or soft ground (see the section "Operating the car in winter"), as well as when driving with anti-skid chains on the wheels.
