If the work has been carried out carefully and all elements have been repaired or replaced, the engine is ready for assembly. This is the most enjoyable part of the job.
Remove all rags, old parts, dirty cleaner, wash your hands, and place clean tools on a clean workbench.
You will need plenty of clean, lint-free rags, a can of clean engine oil, and an engine gasket kit. Gaskets are sold as a set. You must also have a torque wrench.
From this point on, nuts and bolts must be tightened to the required torque. Tightening torques are not given in the text, but are specified in the technical data. Use open-end wrenches or box wrenches to pre-tighten bolts and nuts, but only use a torque wrench for final tightening. We have tried to describe the work by dividing it into separate tasks without being dogmatic. The same applies to assembly. We recommend that you work without interruptions. Put the crankshaft in place, install all the main bearings and plan the next steps. Thus, if you are not sure about something, think over the work again.
