When replacing the heater coolant valve on a vehicle with an M57 engine, it is necessary to remove the fuel cooler and move it to the side.
The heater coolant valve replacement must be carried out in the following order: Drain the liquid from the engine cooling system. Loosen the bandage (1, Fig. 17.39) heater valve fastenings. Disconnect the heater valve SS (2) and loosen the heater valve fastening bandage (3).

Pull out the valve (1, Fig. 17.40) heater upwards. Loosen the clamps (2) and disconnect the coolant hoses from the heater valve and remove the heater coolant valve (1).

When installing, it is necessary to replace the bushings or rubber cushion (4) by inserting the guide pins (3) into the rubber cushion. Fill with coolant and bleed the engine cooling system.
