Replacing the control unit (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the control unit of the heating and ventilation unit must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the device "64.1.010" and, using it, unfasten the unit (1, Fig. 17.19) heater control and pull it out in the direction indicated by the arrow. Disconnect the control unit from the control unit and remember (fix) purpose of color marking of cables.



Release the cable holders (1, Fig. 17.20) in the directions indicated by the arrows, remove the eye (2) of the bypass device (3) and remove the control unit cables.



The installation of the control unit should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to ensure the purpose of the cables.
