Checking the lateral and radial runout of wheels (BMW X5 E53)

The lateral and radial runout of the wheels must be checked in the following order. Check the wheel hub bearings; they must be in good condition. Prepare the "36.1.030" device – a measuring device. Raise the car and place it on supports. Check the lateral runout of the wheel using the "36.1.030" device (Fig. 15.4). Compare the measurement results with the technical specifications given above.
