- V – speed class, km/h (R-150; Q-160; S-180; T-190; H-210; V-240; W-270; Y-300; ZR-over 240).
- M+S - winter tire index.
Attention! If between numbers «18» And «V» worth the combination «M+S», then this indicates that the tire has a winter tread pattern. For cars «BMW-Grupen» recommended tires with a load capacity within «93–97», which corresponds to the load range of 650–730 kgf.
The date of manufacture of the tire is indicated in the manufacturer's code, the marking DOT CUL2 UM8 0501 TUBELESS reads:
- DOT – Dpartament of Transportation (US Department of Transportation);
- CU - manufacturer's code;
- L2 - tire size;
- UM8 - tire model;
- 0504 - date of manufacture (05 week 2004)
- TUBELESS - tubeless tire (TUBETYPE - tube tire).

Steel rims and aluminum rims:
- permissible axial runout of the tire on the rim, no more than 1.8 mm;
- allowable radial runout of the tire on the rim, no more than 1.6 mm;

With a clearly pronounced strong wear of the front tires, it is recommended to swap the front wheels with the rear ones. At the same time, it is always necessary to install fresher tires on the front suspension, with a clearer tread pattern. All four wheels must be of the same type with the same tread pattern. When replacing a tubeless tire, for safety reasons, be sure to replace the valve.
Attention! Prolonged contact of the tire with oils and greases must be avoided.
Continuous operation of the vehicle with snow chains installed will drastically reduce tire life.
