If you briefly press the turn signal lever switch while the average speed indicator is displayed, you can erase the trip computer information from the display. To start a new countdown, you must hold the turn signal lever switch down, then a new calculation of the average fuel consumption and speed values will be performed and displayed on the display screen with the engine running. The outside air temperature currently displayed on the display in degrees Celsius corresponds to the outside air temperature. The readings can be converted to Ferentgate degrees by holding down the (left) trip meter reset button with the ignition key in position "1" and moving the ignition key to position "0".
The current average fuel consumption of the BMW X5 E53 is given in liters per 100 km (L/km), as an average statistical total value since the last erasure of the information. The value is updated every 30 km. This function allows you to develop an economical driving style.
The range is displayed in km and is recalculated every 30 km. The calculation is based on the remaining fuel in the tank and its average consumption over the last 30 km.
If the power reserve is less than 50 km, then all parameters are filtered out, and only this parameter is displayed in flashing mode. If the fuel reserve is less than 5-7 liters, then the symbol "L" appears instead of the kilometer indication.
The average speed is given from the moment the last information was erased as a value in km/h.
If you hold the "BC" key down a little longer, the calculation of the average value of the corresponding parameter (consumption or fuel) will start again, provided that the engine is running.

By pressing the "SNAP" button, any indication of the on-board computer is erased. In this case, the display will display the SAD information.
