Lubrication of body locking devices (BMW X5 E53)

Lubricate the door locks in the area of the locking pins, lugs and adjacent surfaces with a universal lubricant such as "Optimol-Optitemh TT1".

Lock the car and check the locking system, as well as the central locking (including filler cap lock) for correct locking. Depending on the configuration, check the operation of the window lifters and the drive of the sunroof with a lifting and sliding cover.

Check the operation and ease of movement:

• door, trunk and hood locks;
• bMW X5 E53 door stops;
• door hinges, hood, filler cap, trunk;
• hood grab hooks.

If necessary, lubricate them additionally.
