Replacing the oil pump (BMW X5 E53)

The oil pump must be replaced in the following order. Prepare the "11.6.460" device and remove the oil pan.

To prevent the crankshaft from turning, install the device "11.6.460" (Fig. 6.93) on the torsional vibration damper and secure with bolts.



Remove the bolt (3, see Fig. 6.10) fastenings of the drive sprocket (2) of the oil pump. Remove the sprocket from the pump shaft and take it out of the links
