Vehicles with manual gearbox
Set the throttle valve of the 1st chamber to the position corresponding to the engine braking mode. To do this, start the engine at idle. Disconnect the atmospheric pressure supply hose from the throttle valve servo drive and plug the nozzle hole (shown by the arrow in the photo), then stop the engine. In this case, the throttle servo pusher is fully retracted, i.e. is in the engine braking position.
Make sure the throttle stop screw rests on the stop.
Adjust the length of the throttle actuator link 1 so that a slight gap is felt.
After adjustment, connect the atmospheric pressure supply hose to the throttle servo.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
Set the throttle valve of the 1st chamber to the position corresponding to the engine braking mode, as indicated above.
Adjust the throttle actuator linkage 2 so that the gap «A» was within 0.5±0.25 mm.
After adjustment, connect the atmospheric pressure supply hose to the throttle servo.
Possible malfunctions, their causes and methods of elimination
Before troubleshooting, check:
- tensioning the camshaft drive chain and adjusting the gaps in the gas distribution mechanism;
- the serviceability of the ignition system and the setting of the ignition timing;
- serviceability of the controller and electrical wires;
- tightness of the intake tract,
- serviceability of system of release of the fulfilled gases;
- serviceability of the heating system for the incoming air to the carburetor;
- the cleanliness of the air filter element:
- fuel supply pressure to the carburetor.
