0 - starting position (windshield wipers not working)
1 - wiper operation in interval mode / rain intensity sensor
2 - wiper operation with normal frequency
3 - wiper operation with increased frequency

5 - work of windshield washers in automatic mode
6 - work of windshield washers in intensive mode
7 - regulator of the interval for switching on the wipers when operating in interval mode / sensor sensitivity rain intensity
1 - Interval mode / rain sensor*
The interval between inclusions can be stepwise regulated by a corrugated wheel 7, which has four positions. In addition, automatic regulation takes place depending on the actual speed of movement.
Rain sensor
The sensor allows you to automatically adjust the frequency of the windshield wipers depending on the intensity of rain and, of course, snowfall. This means that if you turn on the sensor, then you no longer have to worry about turning the windshield wipers on and off and switching from one mode of their operation to another. You can fully focus on the road. This is especially useful in bad weather conditions.
The emitter directs infrared light onto the surface of the windshield in such a way that when the glass is dry, this light is completely reflected. The sensor measures the intensity of the reflected light. If the glass is covered with water droplets, then the degree of reflection is reduced, since the infrared light partially passes through the glass. The intensity of the reflected light allows you to determine the degree of wetting of the windshield.
If the wipers are switched on in interval mode, they immediately react if, for example, water from under the wheels of the vehicle in front gets on the windshield of your car. Thus, the rain sensor contributes to greater driving safety and improved driving comfort.
Turning on the sensor
After turning the ignition key to position 1 or 2, move the switch lever from position 0 to position 1. In any case, the wipers will operate once as confirmation of the activation of the sensor.
You can also turn on the sensor by moving the switch lever to position 1 from any other position or by operating the automatic (5) or intensive mode (6) in switch position 1.
The knurled wheel 7 will allow you to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor according to your wishes.
Turning off the ignition will disable the sensor.
If you want to leave the switch growl in the position for a long time "Rain sensor", then after turning the ignition key to position 1 you can turn on the sensor by turning the knurled wheel 7.
When washing in a washer, turn off the sensor, as unintentional operation of the wipers can damage them.
2 - Wiper operation at normal frequency
When the car stops, it automatically switches to the interval mode (this does not apply to vehicles with a rain sensor).
3 - Wiper operation with increased frequency
When the vehicle is stopped, the windshield wipers operate at normal frequency (this does not apply to vehicles with a rain sensor).
5 - The operation of the windshield washers in automatic mode
Spraying the windshield with washing liquid is accompanied by a short-term activation of the wipers. Momentary action on the switch lever delivers washer fluid to the windshield, but the wipers do not turn on).
6 - Windshield washers in intensive mode *
Windshield wipers work the same way. as with the selector lever in position 5. but with a preemptive spraying of the windshield with a strong detergent.
For information on replacing the wiper blades, refer to Chapter 11.
Headlight washers*
If the vehicle lights are on. then every fifth operation of the windshield washers in automatic or intensive mode, the headlights are washed automatically. In order to avoid deterioration of visibility, it is investigated to use the washers only if the washer fluid does not freeze on the windshield. Use a special anti-freeze fluid. To avoid damage to the windshield washer pump, do not operate the washer system when there is no fluid in the filler tank.
Heated washer nozzles
Heating is automatic when the ignition key is in position 2.
