Attention: After installation, you need to measure the installation angles.
Withdrawal
Mark the position of the front wheels in relation to the hubs so that you can then reinstall the balanced wheels in their original positions. Loosen the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground. Support the car in front and remove the front wheels.
Remove the bottom mudguard (engine cover).
Loosen the fastening nuts (arrows) and remove the suspension arm from the cross member.
Disconnect the steering knuckle from the swivel bearing with a puller.
Installation
Clean the stub axle and the hole in the stub axle.
Insert steering knuckle, install washer (3), tighten the new self-locking nut (2) and tighten it to 80 Nm.
Install the suspension arm on the cross beam, tighten the nut (1), but do not overtighten it.
Install the front wheels in accordance with the marks made earlier. Do not lubricate wheel bolts. Lower the vehicle, tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Put the car in working position. To do this, the following conditions must be met:
- The car is on wheels.
- The front seats are in the middle position.
- Each front seat carries a load of 68 kg.
- There is a load of 68 kg in the middle of the rear seat.
- In the center of the trunk is a load weighing 21 kg.
- The fuel tank is full of fuel.
Tighten the suspension arm mounting nuts on the cross member to the following torques:
- 6-cylinder engines - 81 Nm,
- 8/12-cylinder engines -77.5 Nm.
Install the bottom cover (mudguard) engine.
