2. Remove the cylinder head (see Section Diesel engine M57).
3. Remove generator (see chapter Engine Electrical Systems).
4. Turn out bolts of fastening of the compressor К/В (see chapter Engine cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems), disconnect the connector (1), remove the A/C compressor and secure it to the side.
5. Turn out all bolts on an arm (2) and remove the compressor bracket.
6. Remove the coolant hose (1) along with the tank (2).
7. Turn out bolts (1), remove the pump (2) power steering and secure it aside.
Do not remove servo lines.
8. Install tool no. 11 6 460 on the vibration damper.
Due to the removed bracket of the A/C compressor at the points (1) bolts should be installed.
9. Give the nut (1), remove the bolts (2) tensioner mountings (4) and pull out the tension bow (3) moving forward. Remove tensioner.
10. Turn out bolts (1).
Installation will require new bolts.
11. Turn out all bolts of a cover (1) timing chain and water pump (2).
Turn tool no. 11 3 340 (3) so that when the timing chain cover is removed, it does not pull out. Carefully remove the timing chain cover. Mark the direction of movement of the chain and remove it.
12. Push the bar (1) tensioner in the direction of the arrow and remove the chain tensioner using tool no. 11 3 340. Remove the tensioner bar from the pin (2) hinge. Remove the bolt (3) and remove the guide (4) chains in the direction of the arrow. Give the nut (5) injection pump.
13. Screw tool No. 13 5 191 into the injection pump sprocket (1). Mark the direction of movement of the chain and screw in the bolt of tool No. 13 5 191. Remove the injection pump drive sprocket with the drive chain.
When installing, an arbitrary position of the sprocket relative to the injection pump is allowed.
14. Remove gasket (1). Check guide bushings (2) for damage and correct installation, replace if necessary.
15. Clear interfaced surfaces, establish a new lining.
The gasket must be dry during installation.
16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installing the timing chain cover, install the chain. The front crankshaft oil seal, due to its exact fixation to the shaft, is replaced only after the installation of the cylinder head and the oil pan.
