Work carried out on the front suspension (BMW X5 E53)

When restoring the oil level and replacing it in the front axle gearbox, it is necessary to use only oils certified by the company for hypoid gears, such as:

• BMW Achsgetriebeoel Syntheik OSP;
• Dearon BHS;
• Mobil Gearlube VS 600;
• BP Energear SHX;
• Snell Getriebeoel OLS-DMW;
• Esso Getriebeoel NLS 75W-90.

Before pouring in the oil, it must be stirred so that the additives are evenly distributed throughout its volume.

Attention! Welding and straightening work on the front suspension elements is prohibited.

Check the front wheel alignment angles on the vehicle under load. Only the wheel alignment angles are adjusted; if the camber angles and longitudinal tilt angle of the steering axis deviate, check the condition of the front suspension elements and the geometric parameters of the body.

Replace shock absorbers or springs of the front suspension on both sides of the vehicle at the same time. Install only components approved by BMW for use on the vehicle.
