Remove the retaining ring (1, Fig. 13.61) and the three-beam sprocket (2) of the CV joint from the splined shaft (3). Remove the corrugated boot by sliding it along the splined shaft. Thoroughly clean all parts with a clean rag.
The installation of the corrugated cover should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to assemble the cover together (1, Fig. 13.62) and its adapter (2).
Three-pointed star (2, see Fig. 13.61) install with the flat side facing the retaining ring. Install a new retaining ring. Place it in the CV joint (three-pointed star) new grease, which is included in the repair kit. Tighten the clamps with a special device of the type "1682".
