Prepare fixtures «23.0.020», «31.5.130» And «33.1.150», remove the front driveshaft and lock washer (5, see fig. 13.3). Mark the position of the nut relative to the shaft (punching). Loosen the nut (17), counting the number of turns and holding the flange (18) pinion from turning with a stopper «23.0.020» (pic. 13.47). Remove the flange from the output shaft using the tool «33.1.150». Remove the oil seal from the gearbox housing by prying it with a screwdriver.
Lubricate the lips of the new oil seal with gear oil and, using a drift «31.5.130» (pic. 13.48), press in the new oil seal until it stops.
Attention! Tighten the nut strictly until the beads match, but in no case further. Otherwise, the spacer will be damaged.
Clean and install drive gear flange. Tighten the nut (counting turns) until the marks made by the core on the nut and on the shaft coincide (pic. 13.49).
Install new lock washer (1), on the front propeller shaft. Upon completion of work, check the oil level in the front axle gearbox.
