Clean the contact surface (1, Fig. 13.37) and the wheel hub bearing flange.

Assemble the device "00.2.480", consisting of "00.2.481", "00.2.482", "00.2.483", "00.2.484" and "00.2.510". Secure the mounting clamp ("00.2.481") and install the assembly on the shock absorber strut. Adjust the dial indicator ("00.2.510") with a slight preload to the contact surface of the wheel hub bearing flange (fig. 13.38).

Measure the axial runout of the wheel hub bearing flange on the largest diameter of the contact surface. Distance "A" is 3–4 mm.
Slowly rotate the wheel hub and read the indicator. The permissible end (axial) runout of the wheel hub on the wheel hub bearing flange should be no more than 0.03 mm.
If the axial runout of the hub flange exceeds the permissible limit, replace the wheel hub together with the brake disc and pads. Repeat the measurement with a new wheel hub, observing the distance "A".
