Replacing the branch of the wiring harness to the injectors (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the wiring harness branch to the fuel injectors must be carried out in the following order.

Remove the soundproofing casing, the right air intake box, the rods in the engine compartment and the cover of the control electronics compartment.

Disconnect the ShSy (1, Fig. 6.136) from the injectors. Unscrew the bolts (2) and move the cable box (3) upwards from the mount. Release the clamps, set the control unit in a vertical position and disconnect the control units from it.

Remove the retainer (1, Fig. 6.137). Disconnect and remove the black wire harness (2) in bracket A and the white wire harness (3) in bracket B. Remove the branch of the wiring harness to the injectors.

The installation of the wiring harness branch to the injectors should be carried out in the reverse order. Assemble the engine.
