Replacing the boost pressure sensor (BMW X5 E53)

The boost pressure sensor is installed at the rear, on the intake manifold. The boost pressure sensor must be replaced in the following order.

Turn off the ignition and unlock the SIS (1, Fig. 6.140). Loosen the bolt (2) and remove the boost pressure sensor (3).



When installing, check the pressure sensor sealing ring and replace it if necessary. Before installing, lubricate the sealing ring with a thin layer of Vaseline.
