Unscrew the nut (9, M10, see Fig. 4.146) fastening the engine bracket (6) to the mount (8). Unscrew the bolts (7) and disconnect the engine mount bracket (6) from the cylinder block.

Replacing the left engine mount bracket (BMW X5 E53)
The left engine mount bracket must be replaced in the following order: Remove the exhaust system assembly, front axle reducer and left exhaust manifold.
Unscrew the nut (9, M10, see Fig. 4.146) fastening the engine bracket (6) to the mount (8). Unscrew the bolts (7) and disconnect the engine mount bracket (6) from the cylinder block.
