The fuel tank ventilation system is of a closed type. Fuel vapors with air are removed through a filter with activated carbon. The carbon in the filter has a granular formula. Due to the large surface area of the granules, the carbon absorbs fuel vapors formed in the fuel tank. The filter with activated carbon is regularly regenerated by blowing it with outside air. This process is controlled by the ECU KSUD.
