The fuel supply system is similar to figure 3.18 and includes an electric fuel pump in the fuel tank, which pressurizes the fuel system and maintains it at a predetermined level using a pressure regulator.
Closed type fuel tank ventilation system. Fuel vapors with air are removed through an activated carbon filter. The carbon in the filter has a granule formula. Due to the large surface area of the pellets, the coal absorbs fuel vapors generated in the fuel tank. The activated carbon filter is regularly regenerated by blowing it with outside air. This process is controlled by the ECU KSUD.
