The intake manifold must be removed in the following order. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the soundproofing and decorative covers. Remove the central part of the heater partition.
Remove the suction hose and the distribution line branch.
At the rear of the manifold, unfasten and disconnect the connections on the differential pressure sensor and on the damper drive motor. Unfasten and disconnect the vent hose (1, Fig. 5.170).
Remove the cable from the holder. Unscrew the intake manifold mounting bolts. Using an assistant, remove the intake manifold by moving it upwards.
Close all openings of the intake manifold and cylinder head. Foreign bodies entering the intake manifold and cylinder head can cause engine failure.
Installation of the intake manifold should be carried out in the reverse order, while it is necessary to clean the sealing surfaces on the intake manifold and the surfaces (1, Fig. 5.171) on the left and right sides of the cylinder heads.
Replace the left and right intake manifold gaskets. Assemble the engine and check the intake system for leaks.
