Removal and installation the headlight ring cover (BMW 3 Series E46)
The headlight ring cover can be replaced separately.
1. Remove the turn signal, refer to Section Replacement of incandescent lamps for outdoor lighting.
2. Remove the visor under the headlight.
3. Disconnect the sealing frame "1" around the circumference from the outside to the inside, starting from the headlight turn signal.
4. Disconnect the ring cover with brackets "2" around the circumference and remove.
5. Insert the ring cover and fix it.
6. Insert the sealing frame "1".
7. Connect the visor from the outside under the headlight, tilt it inward and fix it.
8. If there is a headlight washer nozzle, install it, refer to Section Removal, installation and checking headlight washer nozzles.
9. Install the turn signal.
Removal
1. Remove the turn signal, refer to Section Replacement of incandescent lamps for outdoor lighting.
2. Remove the visor under the headlight.

3. Disconnect the sealing frame "1" around the circumference from the outside to the inside, starting from the headlight turn signal.
4. Disconnect the ring cover with brackets "2" around the circumference and remove.
Installation
5. Insert the ring cover and fix it.
6. Insert the sealing frame "1".
7. Connect the visor from the outside under the headlight, tilt it inward and fix it.
8. If there is a headlight washer nozzle, install it, refer to Section Removal, installation and checking headlight washer nozzles.
9. Install the turn signal.
Finally, have the headlight adjusted at a service station.
