Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the cable from the selector (see paragraph 2).
2. For easier access, apply the parking brake, raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands (cm. "Lifting and placing the car on supports").
3 While holding the bolt from turning, loosen the nut securing the second end of the cable. Be careful not to bend the end of the cable (see fig. 2.2).
4. Loosen the fastening nut and remove the cable from the bracket on the gearbox.
5. Remove the cable end from the lug.
6. Remove the cable from under the car, remembering its location.
Installation
7. Installation is done in sequence. reverse withdrawal. Pay attention to the following points:
- A) Do not tighten the cable bolt and nut until the cable is adjusted.
- b) Connect cable to selector (see paragraph 2).
- V) After finishing work, adjust the cable (see below).
Adjustment
8. Set the selector to position "R".
9. While holding the bolt from turning, loosen the cable fastening nut (the vehicle must be raised to facilitate access).
10. Pull the selector lever away from the cable bracket (towards position "R").
11. Push the end of the rope in the opposite direction (towards the bracket). then release the cable and tighten the clamp nut while holding the bolt (pic. 3.11).

12. Check cable adjustment. To do this, start the engine, tighten the parking brake and set the selector in turn to all positions.
