Checking the axial runout of the working surfaces of the brake disc

Fix the dial indicator bracket so that its feeler gauge touches the working surface of the disk and check the axial runout, which should not exceed 0.2 mm.

When measuring the axial runout of a disc removed from a vehicle, it should not exceed 0.05 mm.

Grinding the brake disc

If there are deep scratches on the disc, it can be ground after measuring its thickness. This operation should only be performed in a workshop. The minimum permissible thickness of the disc after grinding is 11.7 mm.

If it is not possible to remove deep scratches by grinding to a minimum thickness of 11.7 mm, and also if the axial runout of the disk exceeds the tolerance, it must be replaced.
