Checking the axial runout of the working surfaces of the brake disc
Fasten the indicator bracket so that its feeler touches the working surface of the disk, and check the axial runout, which should not exceed 0.2 mm.
When measuring the axial runout of a disc removed from the vehicle, it should not exceed 0.05 mm.
Grinding the brake disc
If there are deep scratches on the disc, it can be polished after measuring its thickness. This operation must only be carried out in a workshop. The minimum allowable disc thickness after grinding is 11.7 mm.
If it was not possible to remove deep risks by grinding to a minimum thickness of 11.7 mm, and also if the axial runout of the disc exceeds the tolerance, it must be replaced.
