Make sure both drive cables move freely.
Remove rear wheels.
Fully release the parking brake.
Rotate the left wheel brake disc so that the inspection hole is up and about 10°from vertical towards the rear of the vehicle.
Rotate the right wheel disk so that the inspection hole is at the top and is deflected 10°from the vertical towards the front of the vehicle.
Using a screwdriver through the inspection hole, turn the clearance adjustment nut so that the parking brake pads are pressed against the drum.
Turn the adjusting nut 4-6 teeth in the opposite direction to the current so that the brake disc can rotate freely.
Remove the rubber protective cover of the parking brake lever in the passenger compartment and loosen the cable lock nut.
Raise the drive lever to the 5th tooth.
Tighten the cable tension adjustment nut to a torque of 0.16 + 0.02 kgf·m, tighten the lock nut.
Make sure the rear wheels turn freely when the parking brake is released.
Lightly apply the parking brake and turn the rear wheels by hand to ensure that both strands of the drive cable are on the same tension.
