Welding or soldering work is not permitted on the air conditioning system components. The same applies to welding and soldering work on the vehicle when there is a risk of heating the air conditioning system components.
Caution: The air conditioning system refrigerant line must not be opened.
For body parts that are particularly susceptible to corrosion, galvanized steel is used. Do not grind off the zinc layer before welding (grind only when soldering with refractory solder).
Caution: When welding galvanized steel sheets, toxic zinc oxide is produced, so ensure good ventilation of the workplace.
The PVC underbody protection is removed at the repair site with a rotating wire brush or heated with an industrial hair dryer to a temperature of +180°C and then removed with a scraper. When PVC is burned or heated above 180°C, corrosive hydrochloric acid is produced and, in addition, harmful vapors are formed.
When carrying out painting work, do not dry the car or heat it to temperatures exceeding 80°C. Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to the electronic control units in the car.
