Removal and installation the starter (BMW X5 E53)

The starter and retractor relay must be replaced from below, in the following order. Turn off the ignition, disconnect the "-" terminal from the battery. Remove the engine protective cover and stiffening plate. The remaining operations are the same as on the engine "N62" when installing, tighten the starter mounting bolts to a torque of 47 N·m (4.7 kgf·m).
