Replacing the sunroof lift/slide switch (BMW X5 E53)

To replace the sunroof switch, follow these steps: Remove the front ceiling light and press the switch (1, Fig. 16.23) lift and slide hatch cover from the inside. The figure shows the button (2) of the remote control for automatic opening of the garage door and the microphone of the hands-free communication (3). Disconnect the SS and remove the lift and slide hatch cover switch.



Once the switch has been installed, the sunroof must be initialized.
