Replacing the trunk lid release switch (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the lower part of the luggage door release switch must be carried out in the following order. Remove the loading floor side panel, take the switch (2, Fig. 16.20) door unlocking from the side (dark arrows), press lightly and pull it forward (light arrow). In the figure below, the lower luggage door trim has been removed. Disconnect the SS (1) and remove the switch (2).
