Replacing the horn switch (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the horn switch on the airbag plate must be carried out in the following order: Remove the airbag unit from the steering wheel. Disconnect the steering wheel (1, Fig. 16.24) from the horn switch on the plate. Loosen the screws (2) securing the plate and remove the switch on the airbag plate (3) in the direction indicated by the arrow.



The switch installation should be carried out in the reverse order.
