Replacing the side window lift switch (BMW X5 E53)

The replacement of the two-position switch of the front side windows must be carried out in the following order. Pry up with a screwdriver and remove the two-position switch (1, Fig. 16.21) window lifters in the direction indicated by the arrow. Disconnect the SS and remove the switch.



Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the two-position switch (1, Fig. 16.22) rear door window lifters in the direction indicated by the arrow. Disconnect the shock absorber and remove the rear window lifter switch.



Installation of the two-position switch for the side windows should be carried out in the reverse order.

The switch for controlling the outside rearview mirrors is replaced in a similar manner.
