Caution! When replacing the vibration damper, do not damage the engine cooling system radiator.
The torsional vibration damper must be replaced in the following order. Remove the alternator and air conditioner compressor drive belt. Remove the fan casing. Loosen the bolts (12, Fig. 5.8) and remove the vibration damper (11). When installing, align the centering hole on the vibration damper with the centering pin (10). Insert the centering pin on the hub into the hole on the vibration damper (11).
Install the washer (13). Replace the bolts (12, M8) securing the torsional vibration damper and tighten them crosswise to a torque of 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m).
