Since the trunk lid is fitted and secured to the unpainted body, subsequent displacement of the hood may expose its unpainted surfaces.
1. Loosen the trunk lid lock mounting screws.
2. Unscrew the stops.
Protect the boot lid from accidentally falling after removing the gas strut, for example by asking an assistant to hold it.
3. Remove the gas struts, refer to the relevant section.
Gas filled struts are under load.
4. Loosen screws "2" and "3" on the left and right. 1 - hinge plate, 4 - gas-filled stop.

5. Loosen the locking plate "1" so that it can be moved sideways and in height. First remove the screw covers "1" from the rear panel visor.
The illustration shows the locking plate with the rear panel visor removed.
6. Carefully close the trunk lid and move it to the side so that the gap in relation to the wings on the left and right is the same and parallel (tolerance±1 mm).
7. Carefully open the trunk lid.
8. Secure the locking plate.
9. Close the trunk lid and check the adjustment, repeat if necessary.
10. Open the lid.
11. Check for damage to the sliders "2" of the locking plate, replace if necessary.
12. Close the trunk lid.
13. Check the height of the trunk lid in relation to the fenders. The lid should be flush with the fenders (tolerance±1 mm).
14. If the cover is not flush, measure the excess and lower the strike plate.
15. Check the adjustment.
16. Open the trunk lid.
17. Screw in the stop so that the closed trunk lid on the left and right rests on the stops.
The trunk lid should not be higher than the fenders, otherwise the lid will become deformed in height.
