As the trunk lid is fitted and secured in an unpainted bodywork, subsequent displacement of the bonnet may expose its unpainted surfaces.
1. Loosen the screws securing the trunk lid lock.
2. Unscrew the stops.
Protect the boot lid from accidental dropping after removing the gas strut, for example by asking an assistant to hold it.
3. Remove the gas-filled stops, refer to the appropriate section.
Gas-filled stops are under load.
4. Loosen left and right screws -2- and -3-. 1 - loop bar, 4 - gas-filled stop.
5. Loosen striker plate -1- so that it can be moved laterally and vertically. First remove the screw covers -1- from the rear panel visor.

6. Carefully close the trunk lid and move it to the side so that the gap in relation to the wings on the left and right is the same and parallel (tolerance±1 mm).
7. Carefully open the trunk lid.
8. Attach striker plate.
9. Close the trunk lid and check the adjustment, repeat if necessary.
10. Open the cover.
11. Check for damage to sliders -2- of the striker plate, replace if necessary.
12. Close the trunk lid.
13. Check the height of the trunk lid in relation to the wings. Lid must be flush with fenders (tolerance±1 mm).
14. If the cover is not flush. Measure the excess and lower the striker below.
15. Check adjustment.
16. Open the trunk lid.
17. Screw the stop so that the closed trunk lid on the left and right lies on the stops.
The trunk lid must not be higher than the fenders, otherwise the lid will deform in height.
