Withdrawal
Mark the position of the front wheel in relation to the hub with paint. This will allow the balanced wheel to return to its original position. When loosening the wheel bolts, the vehicle must be on its wheels. Raise the car from the front and remove the front wheel.
Loosen locknut tie rod end.
Loosen the tie rod joint nut at the swivel bearing.
Press the ball joint pin of the tie rod end downwards using a standard pressing tool, eg HAZET 779-1.
Unscrew the tip, holding the steering rod with a wrench.
Attention: When turning out, calculate the number of revolutions that will be required to completely turn out the tip, this will facilitate the subsequent assembly of the steering rod. It must be borne in mind that there are left and right threads on the left and right sides, respectively.
Installation
Screw in the tie rod end by the same number of turns that was made when turning it out.
Tighten the tie rod end locknut to 45 Nm.
Insert the tie rod end into the swivel bearing, screw in a new self-locking nut and tighten to 65 Nm.
Screw on the front wheel. Do not grease wheel bolts. Attach the wheel so that the marks applied before removal coincide. Lower vehicle, tighten wheel bolts crosswise to 100 Nm.
Adjust wheel alignment.
