When installing the rod sleeve, check and, if necessary, replace the plastic washer (14, see Fig. 8.16) in the cage (12) of the gear selection rod.

Lubricate the spherical part of the gear selector rod and the pin of the gear shift drive with grease of the type "Circolight" or plastic grease such as "Kluber Polylub GLY 801". The washers must fit against the gear selector rod housing with their larger surface.
