Attention! Do not rotate the PP lever handle when removing it, otherwise the angular movement lock will be cut off.
The gearshift lever support must be removed in the following order. Remove the gearshift lever handle head by forcibly moving it upwards. Lightly squeeze the cover frame and remove the cover from the central console (arrows, Fig. 8.28). Remove the sound insulation and take out the rubber boot of the lever from the body opening.

Caution! Do not remove the inner rubber boot (lower arrows, Fig. 8.29) from the cup of the gear shift lever support rod.

Unscrew the nuts (9, see Fig. 8.16) support fastenings and, acting from below, remove the support (5) from the rod (1).

When installing, lubricate the support neck of the rod (1) with grease of the type "Circolight" or plastic grease such as "Kluber Polylub GLY 801", tighten the nuts (9) securing the support to a torque of 21.5 N·m (2.15 kgf·m).
Turn out the protective cover (1, Fig. 8.30) edges upwards and place it on the gearshift lever (2). Lower the edges of the protective cover so that the cover covers the gearshift lever and insert it into the center console.

Before installing the handle, slide the protective cover (1) down so that the locking groove is completely exposed. Place the head on the gearshift lever, align it and press it vertically down until it clicks into place.
