Note: Do not remove the support bearing (1).

Press out the bushing (2, see Fig. 8.16) bearing, and if damaged, replace it.

Lubricate the new bearing bushing with a compound such as "Circolight" and press it into the support rod so that its side edges protrude evenly on both sides of the rod.

When installing, lubricate the hinge pins (3 and 4, see Fig. 8.16) and the support neck of the support rod with grease of the type "Circolight" or plastic grease such as "Kluber Polylub GLY 801".

New nuts (9, see fig.8.16) tighten the bearing support fasteners to a torque of 21.5 N·m (2.15 kgf·m). Tighten the bolts (M10) securing the crossmember to the body to a torque of 41 N·m (4.1 kgf·m), tighten the new nut of the bolt (M12) securing the manual transmission to the crossmember to a torque of 74 N·m (7.4 kgf·m). While doing this, hold the bolt head (4, see Fig. 8.3) with a wrench and rotate only the nut (5), this will ensure the absence of stress in the rubber-metal joint (3) of the manual transmission support.
