Qualitative adjustment of the parking brake is possible only with normal operation and ease of movement of the brake cable and all moving parts.
Brake pad adjustment
1. Fully back out the left cable adjusting nut.
2. Fully unscrew one wheel bolt on each rear wheel, then turn the wheel so that the threaded hole on the right wheel is in position «7 o'clock», and on the left «5 o'clock».
3. Tighten the adjusting screw until the wheel locks and unscrew the adjusting screw 8 clicks of the lock.
Drive cable adjustment
1. Fully release the parking brake.
2. Tighten the left cable adjusting nut until the rear wheels can barely turn.
3. Press the parking brake pedal 10 times evenly to the sixth tooth of the ratchet.
4. Lock the parking brake pedal on the third tooth of the ratchet.
5. Give an adjusting nut so that back wheels were hardly scrolled by hand.
6. Check the braking force: when cocked by 1 tooth, the wheel should be free (easily rotated by hand), and when cocked by 4 teeth - motionless (does not rotate by hand).
Breaking in the parking brake mechanism
1. When driving in a separate area or on a road with light traffic, at a speed of 40 km / h, depress the parking brake pedal and hold it until the braking force is felt (clutch disengaged, transmission in neutral).
2. Depress the parking brake pedal until it locks onto the next tooth of the ratchet and drive another 200 m.
3. Repeat the steps described in paragraphs 10 and 11 again.
