To remove the oil sump, it is necessary to lower the front axle beam.
1. Follow the steps described in paragraphs 10 to 13 of Section Removal and installation of the upper section of the oil pan.
2. Give the top nuts of the left and right pillows of support of the engine (see illustration).
3. Suspend the motor by 6 ÷ 8 mm with the help of a special device, using the lifting eyes of the motor.
4. Remove the guide for the engine oil level dipstick.
5. Remove the oil pan (see Section Removal and installation of the oil pan).
6. Loosen the tension of the K / V compressor drive belt and remove the tensioner bar from the crankcase (see Section Removal and installation of drive belts).
7. Turn out a bolt and unclench a collar of fastening of the pipeline to the GUR pump.
8. Without disconnecting the pipes, remove the power steering pump and hang it aside so that the pipelines are not loaded.
If necessary, unscrew the dowel pin from the top of the crankcase.
9. Give fastening of a positive wire on the generator (2).
10. Turn out a bolt of a fixing bracket of a positive wire on a support of the engine.
11. Remove the bolts and remove the protective tube from the crankcase.
12. Turn out bolts of fastening of a fixing plate to a beam of the forward bridge, unclench brackets and remove a tube and a plate.
13. Remove the heat shield.
14. Remove the positive wire from the crankcase.
15. Remove the engine oil return line from the crankcase using the special tool.
16. Disconnect the steering shaft from the steering gear (see chapter Suspension and steering).
17. Support the front axle beam, disconnect it from the engine support and lower it by about 60 mm.
18. Turn out bolts in the top section of the pallet crankcase and remove the oil pump.
19. Turn out bolts of fastening of the top section of the pallet crankcase from transmission side (see illustration).
20. Turn out the remained bolts of fastening of the top section of the pallet of a case and remove it towards the front.
21. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following points:
- If necessary, replace the O-rings of the guide of the dipstick of the level of impellent oil;
- Clean the mating surfaces from the remnants of sealing materials and lubricate these surfaces with Hylomar SQ 32 M sealant;
- Replace the gasket of the upper section of the oil pan;
- The final tightening of the transmission side bolts should only be done after the engine side bolts have been tightened.
