bolts (M10) engine main bearing mounts (replace the bolts, wash them, do not wash off the coating of the bolts, lubricate with engine oil) – 20 Nm + 50°.
Rigidity liner (stretching):
- all M8 - 22 Nm;
- all M10 - 43 Nm.
Coolant drain plug in cylinder block:
- all M14x1.5 - 25 Nm;
screw plug (M12x1.5) main lubrication channel - 20 Nm.
Oil nozzle in the cylinder block:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M8x1.0 - 12 Nm.
Cylinder head bmw x5 e53
Cylinder head cover:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M7 - 15 Nm.
bolts (M10/M12) cylinder head mounting (replace the bolts, wash them, do not wash off the coating of the bolts) – 80 Nm + loosen by 180°+ 50 Nm + 90°+ 90°;
Oil pan
Oil drain plug:
- all M12x1.5 - 25 Nm;
- all M18x1.5 - 30 Nm;
- all M22x1.5 - 60 Nm;
Oil sump to cylinder block:
- all M6 (8.8) - 10 Nm;
- all M6 (10.9) - 12 Nm;
- all M8 (8.8) - 22 Nm;
Bottom of oil sump to top of oil sump (replace bolts with sealant):
- all M6 (8.8) - 10 Nm;
- all M8 (8.8) - 22 Nm;

- N62 M8 - 24 Nm.
Timing cover
Timing block and its upper and lower covers:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M7 - 15 Nm;
- all M8 - 22 Nm;
- all M10 - 47 Nm.
screw plug (M30x1.0) in the timing cover - 70 Nm.
screw plug (M40x1.5) in the timing cover - 30 Nm.
Crankshaft with support
Gear wheel of the speed sensor of the KSUD to the crankshaft, replace the bolts:
- all M5 (10.9) - 13 Nm;
- all M5 (8.8) - 5.5 Nm.
Flywheel
Flywheel to crankshaft, replace bolts - 120 Nm.
Connecting rod with bearings
Replace connecting rod bolts, wash and lubricate with engine oil - 5.0 Nm + 20 Nm + 70°.
Vibration damper
Pulley/vibration damper to hub (M8) - 22.0 Nm.
Vibration damper to crankshaft (central bolt/bolts, M10), replace the bolt - 40 Nm + 60°+ 60°.
Camshaft
Camshaft Bearing Cap:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M7 - 14 Nm;
- all M8 - 20 Nm.
Sprocket to camshaft flange (M7) – 20.0 Nm + 35°.
Chain tensioner cap nut (M22x1.5) - 40 Nm.
Chain tensioner plunger cylinder (M26x1.5) - 50 Nm.
Hairpin (M7) into the camshaft - 20 Nm.
screw (M6) on the camshaft stud - 10 Nm.
bolts (M16x1.5) fastening the damper bar and the chain tensioner bar - 20 N·m.
Lubrication system
Oil pump (M8) to the crankcase - 23 Nm.
Oil pump cover (M6) - 10 Nm.
Sprocket to oil pump:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M10 - 45 Nm.
- all M10x1.0 - 25 Nm.
Full flow oil filter (lid):
- all M8 - 22 Nm;

Oil filter housing and pipelines to crankcase:

Oil line for lubrication of bearing beds and camshaft cams (M6) - 10 Nm.
Camshaft lobe oil line to cylinder head (hollow bolt):
- all M5 - 5 Nm;
- all M18x1.0 - 10 Nm.
Oil cooler lines to oil filter housing (M8) - 22 Nm.
Oil pipelines to TC:
- bolt (M8) - 22 Nm;
- hollow bolt - 25 Nm;
- union nut - 30 Nm.
Oil pipelines from TC to crankcase (hollow bolt, M16x1.5) - 40 Nm.
Drain oil line to the exhaust gas duct and cylinder block (clamp) - 3.0 Nm.
Cooling system
Coolant pump to crankcase:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M7 - 15 Nm;
- all M8 - 22 Nm.
Fan drive clutch to coolant pump (union nut with left-hand thread) - 40 Nm.
thermostat housing (M6) - 10 Nm.
bleed valve (M8) - 8.0 Nm.
Pipeline
Inlet pipeline (air manifold) to the cylinder head:
- all M6 - 10 Nm;
- all M7 - 15 Nm;
- all M8 - 22 Nm.
Exhaust pipe
Exhaust pipe (collector) to the cylinder head (M7), lubricate the threaded connections with paste «Molykote-HSC» - 20 Nm;
Exhaust oxygen sensor (M18x1.5) - 50 Nm.
TC to exhaust manifold (M10) - 50 Nm.
The pipeline for supplying oil to the TC and the cylinder block - 25 Nm.
Clamp for attaching charge air hoses - 6.0 Nm.
Vacuum pump to block head (M8) - 22 Nm.
Downpipe to EGR valve - 8.0 Nm
Engine electrical equipment
Knock sensor - 20 Nm.
Crankshaft speed sensor and its position at top dead center (TDC) first cylinder bolt (M6) to be replaced - 10 Nm.

Generator
Wires to the generator:
- contact D+ (M6) - 7 N·m;
