Attention! Cover the generator with plastic film.
TC hoses must always be dry and clean.
Remove the center section of the front shield, the intake manifold and all injectors. Unscrew the bolts (1, Fig. 6.39) and disconnect the suction pipe in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Remove the bolts (17 pcs., arrows, Fig. 6.40). Loosen the bolts (1), starting from the edges and moving towards the center (middle). Remove the cylinder head cover (3).
Caution! When installing, first tighten the bolts (1) from the middle to the edges. Tighten the outer bolts in a crosswise pattern.
Remove the bolts (27 pcs., arrows, Fig. 6.41) and replace the profile gaskets (1). Clean the contact surfaces from seal residues.
Note: When replacing the cylinder head cover, it is necessary to reinstall the heat-resistant protective panel (2) onto the new cylinder head cover.
On surface areas (1, Fig. 6.42) apply a layer of sealant such as "Drei-Bond-1209" 3 mm wide and 2 mm thick.
Assemble the engine.
