RK "NV125"



The replacement of the axle shaft seal of the RK "NV125" must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the tools "00.5.500", "23.0.490", "27.1.360" and "27.1.370" and remove the transfer case. Only on transfer cases of the "NV125" type remove the adapter shaft (1, Fig. 10.15) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Attention! Do not use a drill for punching, as the resulting chips may cause the unit to fail.


Using only a core, perform a sealing test in the gland (1, Fig. 10.16) hole and screw the impact device "23.0.490" into it. Using the weight (2), remove the seal.

Upon completion of the work, check the oil level in the transfer case and, if necessary, restore it. Check the tightness of the unit.

The replacement of the front axle seal of the ATC500 transfer case must be carried out in the following order. Prepare the tools "23.0.490", "27.1.341" and "27.1.342", remove the rear panel of protection of auxiliary mechanisms of engines and the front propeller shaft.

Using large screwdrivers as levers, press out the flange and remove the protective boot (16, see Fig. 10.1,b), to gain access to the seal (17).

Using the tool "23.0.490", knock out the oil seal.

To install the seal, use the tool "27.1.342" (guide cone) to put it on until it touches the RK housing. Press the seal flush with the RK housing using the "27.1.341" device.



Upon completion of the work, check the oil level in the transfer case and, if necessary, restore it. Check the tightness of the unit.
