Brake fluid is poisonous. Never suck out brake fluid by mouth or through a hose. Store fluid in a container that cannot be accidentally accessed.
Withdrawal
If the clutch slave cylinder is not replaced, the hose should not be disconnected. You should also pay attention to the fact that when the working cylinder is removed, you must not press the clutch pedal, otherwise the rod will be squeezed out. If the piston is accidentally squeezed out, it is necessary to remove the cylinder and assemble it at the service station. After installing the clutch actuator in place, it is necessary to remove air from it.
The piston in the clutch slave cylinder may only be lubricated with ATE brake cylinder paste.
1. Only if the hose was disconnected: Pinch the brake hose at the reservoir with pliers, eg HAZET-4590-2.
The operation of lifting and placing the vehicle on stands is dangerous! Therefore, before carrying out the operation, read Section Jacking and towing
2. Raise and place the vehicle on stands. Remove the lower cover of the engine compartment, refer to Section Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
3. If necessary turn away a nut of fastening of a hose -1-. Wipe up the spilled liquid with a cloth.
4. Turn away nuts of fastening of the working cylinder - 2 - and - 3 - to manual transmission. Nut -2- at the same time fastens the hose holder. Mark the position of the holder for its subsequent correct installation.
Installation
1. Clean the stem tip (arrow illustration) and adjacent surface to the clutch release lever and lightly lubricate with grease "ESSO UNREX S2".
2. Install the working cylinder on the manual transmission and secure with a torque of 22 Nm. At the same time, fasten the hose holder with the nut -2-
3. Fasten the hose to the cylinder with a torque of 17 Nm.
4. Remove the clamp from the brake hose going to the slave cylinder.
5. If the hose was disconnected, bleed the clutch actuator, refer to the appropriate section.
6. Install the bottom cover of the engine compartment, refer to Section Removal and installation of the bottom cover of an impellent compartment.
