Attention! System pressure indicator «DIS» shows the absolute value of the pressure, taking into account the ambient pressure.
Checking the overpressure valve of the filler cap must be carried out in the following order.
Prepare fixtures «13.3.010», «16.1.171», «16.1.172» And «16.1.173» and install the pressure regulator on the fixture «16.1.171» (pic. 6.101) all the way into position «–».
Connect fixture «16.1.171» with a sleeve (1) to compressed air source 8–10 bar (8–10 kgf/cm2). Connect gauge gauge (2) systems «DIS» with measuring range 0–3.5 bar (0–3.5 kgf/cm2).
Select one of the accessories suitable for the car filler cap, «16.1.172» or «16.1.173», and install the tool on the quick coupling «16.1.171».
Install the filler cap on the tool of your choice. Check the leak tester, for which:
- choose on the system «DIS» mode «Measurement system»;
- set the measuring range according to the pressure sensor to 0–3.5 bar;
- using the pressure regulator on the fixture «16.1.171» increase the pressure by 0.2 bar;
- using a device «13.3.010» pinch the pipeline from the device «16.1.171» to the filler neck of the fuel tank;
- wait 60 sec;
- read the pressure value and compare it with the initial value.
Evaluate the obtained measurements:
- if the pressure drop exceeds 0.012 bar, this means that the test device is not tight;
- check the tightness of the connections.
Check the overpressure valve of the filler cap, for which:
- choose on the system «DIS» mode «Measurement system»;
- set the measuring range according to the pressure sensor to 0–3.5 bar;
- using the pressure regulator on the fixture «16.1.171» increase the pressure by 0.3 bar;
- using a device «13.3.010» pinch the pipeline from the device «16.1.171» to the fuel filler neck.
- wait 60 sec;
- read the pressure value and compare it with the initial value.
Evaluate the obtained measurements:
- if the pressure drop exceeds 0.012 bar, the filler cap overpressure valve is defective;
- replace the filler cap.
