Removal of the oil pump must be carried out in the following order.
Remove stiffening plate and drain oil from engine. Remove bottom (pallet) engine oil sump. Unscrew the nut M10x1.0 (25, see fig. 5.15) and remove the star (24) oil pump drive with chain (1) drive.
Carry out further work with an assistant. Loosen the bolts (M8) (22, 23, see fig. 5.15) oil pump mounts and remove it. Bolts are not suitable for further use.
The O-ring must be replaced during installation (1, fig. 5.158) in the crankcase of the engine, having previously lubricated it with engine oil.
Insert oil line (3, see fig. 5.15) into the crankcase, preventing damage to the sealing ring (2). When installing the oil pump, it is necessary to replace its sealing ring (4), after lubricating it with engine oil. Insert oil line (3) into the hole in the oil pump without damaging the O-ring.
Replace o-ring (2), after lubricating it with engine oil. Do not damage sealing rings. Make sure the oil line is installed correctly.
New bolts (M8, class 10.9) tighten the oil pump mountings to a torque of 34 Nm (3.4 kgf·m). Nut (25, M10) fastenings of an asterisk of the oil pump to tighten the moment 45 Nm (4.5 kgf·m). Assemble the engine.
