Engine cylinder block



Bolts (M11) for fastening the engine main bearings (replace bolts, wash them, do not wash off the coating of the bolts, do not lubricate with oil) – 20 Nm + 100°.

Main bearing cap fastening elements (threaded support bushings) – 6.0 Nm.

Stiffening insert (stretch):
  • M8 – 22 Nm;
  • M10 – 43 Nm.

Coolant drain plug in the cylinder block:
  • M14x1.5 – 25 Nm;

Threaded plug (M18x1.5) of the main lubrication channel – 25 Nm.

Oil nozzle in the cylinder block:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M8x1.0 – 12 Nm.

Cylinder head



Cylinder head cover:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 15 Nm.

Bolts (M10) for fastening the cylinder head (replace bolts, wash them, do not wash off the coating of the bolts) – 30 Nm + 90° + 90°.

Oil pan



Oil drain plug:
  • M12x1.5 – 25 Nm;
  • M18x1.5 – 30 Nm;
  • M22x1.5 – 60 Nm.

Oil pan to cylinder block:
  • M6 (8.8) – 10 Nm;
  • M6 (10.9) – 12 Nm;
  • M8 (8.8) – 22 Nm.

Lower part of oil pan to upper part of oil pan (M8) – 24 Nm.

Timing Belt Cover



Timing belt block and its upper and lower covers:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 15 Nm;
  • M8 – 22 Nm;
  • M10 – 47 Nm.

Timing belt block, its upper and lower covers:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M8 – 20 Nm.

Crankshaft with support



Replace the toothed wheel of the speed sensor of the crankshaft speed sensor to the crankshaft, bolts:
  • M5 (10.9) – 13 Nm;
  • M5 (8.8) – 5.5 Nm.

Flywheel



Flywheel to crankshaft, replace bolts (lubricate the bolt threads with engine oil):
  • with manual transmission – 120 Nm;
  • with automatic transmission – 105 Nm.

Connecting rod with bearings



Replace connecting rod bolts, wash and lubricate with engine oil – 5.0 Nm + 20 Nm + 70°;



Torsional vibration damper



Pulley/torsional vibration damper to hub (M8) – 22.0 Nm;

Torsional vibration damper for crankshaft (central bolt/bolts, M18x1.5), replace bolt – 100 Nm + 60° + 60° + 60°.

Camshaft



Camshaft Bearing Cap:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 14 Nm;
  • M8 – 20 Nm.

Sprocket to camshaft flange (M6) – 15 Nm.

Chain tensioner cap nut (M22x1.5) – 40 Nm.

Chain tensioner plunger cylinder (M22x1.5) – 65 Nm.

Stud in camshaft (M7) – 20 Nm.

Nut on camshaft stud (M6) – 10 Nm

Sensor wheel to the camshaft (M16x1.5) – 30 Nm.

Variable valve timing system, vanos



Hollow bolt of the actuator unit (M14x1.5) – 32 Nm.

Threaded plug of the actuator unit (M22x1.5) – 50 Nm.

Fitting bolt (left hand thread) tensioner plunger into the splined shaft (M6) – 10 Nm.

Hydraulic line to oil filter support – 32 Nm

Solenoid valve (M27x1.5) to adapter – 25 Nm.

Exhaust camshaft sprocket to shaft (left thread, M12x1.5) – 125 Nm.

Actuator unit to intake camshaft (left thread, M12x1.5) – 110 Nm.

Screw (left thread, M18x1.5) fastenings of the toothed wheel of the intake camshaft position sensor – 40 Nm.

Actuating units to camshafts (M10x1.0) – 80 Nm.

Magnetic wheel (M6) to eccentric shaft – 8 Nm.

Lubrication system



Oil pump to the crankcase, M8 (10.9) – 34 Nm.

Oil pump cover (M6) – 10 Nm.

Sprocket to oil pump:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M10 – 45 Nm.
  • M10x1 – 25 Nm.

Full flow oil filter (cover):
  • M8 – 22 Nm;
  • M10 – 33 Nm:
  • M12 – 33 Nm.

Oil filter housing and lines to the crankcase:
  • M8 – 22 Nm;
  • M20x1.5 – 40 Nm.

Oil drain channel to the oil filter and the upper part of the oil pan (hollow bolt, M14x1.5) – 30 Nm.



Oil line for lubrication of bearing beds and camshaft cams (M6) – 10 Nm.

Oil line for lubrication of camshaft cams to cylinder head (hollow bolt):
  • M5 – 5 Nm;
  • M18x1.0 – 10 Nm.

Oil drain channel from the crankcase ventilation system oil separator to the upper part of the oil sump (hollow bolt, M12x1.5) – 25 Nm.

Oil lines from the oil radiator to the oil filter housing (M8) – 22 Nm.

Cooling system



Coolant pump to the engine crankcase:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 15 Nm;
  • M8 – 22 Nm.

Fan drive clutch to coolant pump (left-hand thread union nut) – 40 Nm.

Thermostat housing (M6) – 10 Nm.

Bleed nipple (M8) – 8.0 Nm.

Intake manifold



Intake manifold (air manifold) to the cylinder head:
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 15 Nm;
  • M8 – 22 Nm.

Sound-absorbing casing for bracket (M6) –.. N·m.

Exhaust manifold



Exhaust pipe (manifold) to cylinder head, lubricate threaded connections with paste "Molykote-HSC":
  • M6 – 10 Nm;
  • M7 – 15 Nm;
  • M8 – 23 Nm.

Exhaust gas oxygen sensor (M18x1.5) – 50 Nm.

Ignition system



Spark plugs:
  • M12x1.25 – 23±3 N·m;
  • M14x1.25 – 30±3 N·m.

Knock sensor – 20 Nm.

The crankshaft speed sensor and its position at the top dead center (TDC) of the first cylinder, the bolt (M6) must be replaced - 10 N·m.

Electronic control module compartment cover – 4.4 Nm.

Generator



Wires to the generator:
  • contact D+ (M6) – 7.0 Nm;
  • contact B+ (M8) – 13 Nm.

Generator pulley – 45 Nm.

Generator pulley with water cooling jacket – 80 Nm.

Rear clamp – 3.5 Nm.

Wire retainer cylinder bolt – 3.5 Nm.

Voltage regulator:
  • M4 – 2.0 Nm;
  • M5 – 4.0 Nm.

Starter



Fastening the starter to the gearbox housing (M10) – 43 Nm.



Starter support bracket (M5) – 5.0 Nm.

Support bracket to the crankcase – 47 Nm.

Wires to the starter:
  • M5 – 5.0 Nm.
  • M6 – 7.0 Nm.
  • M8 – 13 Nm.

Terminal of the battery pole to the starter (M8) – 11 Nm.

Heat shield to starter (M6) – 6.0 Nm.

Engine Wiring Harness and Electrical Equipment



Connecting the battery positive terminal to the contact on the intake manifold (M8) – 15 Nm.

Oil pressure and oil temperature sensors – 8.5 Nm.

Oil level sensor – 8.5 Nm.

Coolant temperature sensor – 20 Nm.

Air temperature sensor – 13 Nm.

Air flow meter –.. Nm;

Camshaft position sensor –.. Nm

Electronic control module compartment cover – 3.0 Nm.

Fuel supply system



Fuel tank to the body on a tension strap:
  • bolt M8 – 23 Nm;
  • nut M8 – 19 Nm.

Fuel level indicator sensor – 2.0 Nm.

Fuel level indicator sensor retaining ring – 35 Nm.

Fuel tank drain plug – 25 Nm.

Injector to suction pipe (M6) – 10 Nm.

AL to the fuel pump (M5) – 1.6 Nm.

Hose clamps:
  • (10 – 16 mm) – 2.0 Nm.
  • (18 – 33 mm) – 3.0 Nm.
  • (37 – 43 mm) – 4.0 Nm.

Expansion tank to the body – 3.5 Nm.

Accelerator pedal module to body – 19 Nm.

Cooling system



Coolant Hose Clamps:
  • (32–48 mm) – 2.5 Nm.

Cooling system bleed screw – 8.0 Nm.

Expansion tank level sensor – 3.0 Nm.

Radiator to body (M6) – 10 Nm.

Radiator drain plug thread – 2.5 Nm.

Expansion tank to the body – 9.0 Nm.

Automatic transmission oil cooler to body – 14 Nm.

Pipes to the automatic transmission oil cooler – 25 Nm.

Oil cooler pipe brackets – 6.0 Nm.

Union nut (M18x1.5) of the oil line fitting to the automatic transmission and radiator – 20 Nm.



Hollow bolt (M16x1.5) of the oil line – 37 Nm.

Exhaust system



Neutralizer for the exhaust system – 55 Nm.

Muffler clamp (M8) – 15 Nm.

Additional muffler to intermediate muffler (M8) – 30 Nm.

Activated carbon filter for body (M6) – 9 Nm.

Engine mount



Engine mount bracket to engine – 38 Nm.
