Remove the air intake housing together with the air flow meter. Remove cover (4) oil filter and let the oil drain into the sump (29) oil sump. Remove generator.
Using a clean syringe, empty the power steering reservoir. Remove the power steering reservoir, the pipes remain connected, and secure it to the body with a wire clamp. Remove the power steering pump, the lines remain connected, and secure it to the body with a wire clamp. If necessary, remove the alternator drive belt tensioner.
Disconnect the loops from the sensor (11) oil pressure indicator and from the sensor (10) oil temperature indicator. Disconnect the oil line (30, see fig. 3.63) actuating element of the D-VANOS system from the oil filter housing.

Remove bolts (M8) full flow oil filter assembly. (6 pcs., dark arrows, fig. 3.135) and take it off (light arrow).
When installing, check the centering sleeves (arrows, fig. 3.136) for damage and correct installation.
Replace seal (5, see fig. 3.16) and install a full flow oil filter.
Restore oil level.
