The design of the transmission lock in the parking lot at the automatic transmission «A5S440Z» shown in Figure 9.77.
Replacing the transmission lock lever in the parking lot automatic transmission type «A5S440Z» must be done in the following order. Remove heat shields. Prepare support from fixtures «00.2.030», «24.5.301» And «24.0.250» and support the automatic transmission with it.
Remove the frame crossmember assembly, automatic transmission oil sump and speed sensors. Loosen the bolts (8) and disconnect the protective plate from the automatic transmission crankcase (7) connecting lever (3). Remove plate.
Unscrew the screw plug (5) with O-ring and pull out the pin (4) out. Take out the spring (2) and lever (3) parking lock (automatic transmission selector in position «R»).
When installing the lock lever (3) spring must be positioned (2) long end to the lever (3). Check the sealing of the screw plug (5) and, if necessary, replace it. Cork (5, M12x1.5) tighten torque 23 Nm (2.3 kgf·m).
When installed, connecting rod (2, fig. 9.78) must fit into the groove on the locking lever (3).
screws (M6) fastenings of the protective plate tighten with a torque of 10 Nm (1.0 kgf·m).
